João Batista Mawete (born 4 May 1983 in Luanda) is an Angolan footballer. He currently plays for the Maltese First Division side Dingli Swallows, where he played as a striker.
Mawete began his professional football career with Portuguese Liga side S.L. Benfica, and spent several seasons with the club's second team, making only seven Liga appearances for the first team.[1]
